Yacine Brahimi has been voted the 2014 Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ African Footballer of the Year.

The FC Porto midfielder becomes the first Algerian to win the award, which is decided by football fans from around the world.

The French-born midfielder has been recognised for an outstanding year, in which he scored a hat-trick in the Champions League and helped Algeria reach the last sixteen of the World Cup for the first time.
