Rosetta: To harpoon or not to harpoon?
Scientists who successfully landed the Philae robot probe onto a comet say they've regained contact with it but still aren't sure how firmly anchored to the surface it is. It's thought that some of the harpoons which are meant to attach it to the rock failed to fire and mission control is reluctant to try to fire them again now as it might shoot the probe back off into space.
Alan Fitzsimmons is Professor of astronomy at Queens University in Belfast, he's part of a team that's been monitoring the comet since the Rosetta mothership was launched a decade ago.
Alan said: "We didn't get the shape (of the comet) right at all, no one could have guessed it would look like the universe's largest rubber duck."
