One hundred years may have passed since the outbreak of the World War One, but its impact is still felt today.

It is wrong to assume that as there are no living witnesses to the events that it is no longer relevant.

Tom Collins was a shoemaker and a rugby player in Northampton. When he was killed near Passchendaele in November 1917, he left behind a wife and six young children.

Eight of his grandchildren gathered at Franklin鈥檚 Gardens, scene of so many of his rugby matches and where his name is inscribed on the War Memorial, to talk about growing up without a grandfather and what he means to them today.
