Israel tourism feels the strain
Before the recent open-ended ceasefire was agreed, hundreds of rocket and mortar attacks on Israel - during the country’s military operation in Gaza - devastated its tourism industry.
Visitor numbers dropped to their lowest level for seven years.
Now travel agents and hotel owners are urgently calling for millions of dollars of compensation from the state - which the Israeli government has until the end of the week to decide upon.
