Excerpt from ‘Little Willy Wee’ a song from Dylan Thomas’s epic radio play ‘Under Milk Wood’, which was written at the end of his life in 1953. Tune is written by his longtime friend, the composer Daniel Jones. Sung on this recording by Welsh singer Mari Griffith in a programme from the ‘Poems & Pints’ series – this one recorded in front of a live audience on the Irish ferry in a storm somewhere between Holyhead and Dublin, which is why the camera work at times seems a bit shaky. Programme transmitted on March 28th 1978.
