Alan Shearer: England can reach World Cup semi-final
"At a push" England's 23-man squad could make it to a World Cup semi-final, former captain Alan Shearer has said.
England's 23-man squad has the ability to reach the semi-final's of the World Cup, former captain Alan Shearer has said.
England manager Roy Hodgson has revealed the player's he will be taking to Brazil for the tournament which begins in June.
Shearer said striker Wayne Rooney "needs to have a big tournament for people to speak about him in the same terms as Ronaldo and Messi".
