The Health Secretary, Jeremy Hunt, has condemned remarks made by a UKIP local election candidate about the comedian Lenny Henry as "absolutely disgusting". William Henwood tweeted that Lenny Henry should emigrate to a "black country" and compared Islam to the Third Reich. He said he did not think the messages were offensive. Speaking on Pienaar's Politics, Mr Hunt said it was a "totally unacceptable" racist remark. A UKIP spokesman said: "Any breach of our rules will be duly investigated and action will be taken".
