What do Indians want from their leaders? Clean water says one campaigner as a failing water supply becomes a big election issue.

What do Indians want from their leaders? Business Daily is once again in India, looking at some more of the key issues influencing people as they go the polls this month. Failing basic services like the water supply have become a big election issue. Dr Jyoti Singhal, a BJP representative, says people just want a supply of clean water. And water is one of many problems feeding the perception of a country blighted by endemic state corruption. But can the opposition parties really do any better? We speak to Sameer Kochhar, a self made millionaire and author, who's studied the economic agenda of the opposition BJP candidate, Narendra Modi, to assess what he offers. We also hear from Jayati Ghosh a leading development economist who says that all the major parties are missing the key strategy needed to move the country forward.
