Caitlin Thomas, Dylan’s wife, interviewed by Vincent Kane in 1977 recalls wild fights between the two of them, largely caused by his infidelities when away from home. He didn’t see these ‘adventures’ as being too important, but for her these were a source of much anguish; she describes fights in the bedroom where she would grab him by his curls and bang his head against the bedpost. She says that he rarely fought back.
