It was founded two years ago by the actress Jenny Seagrove and at the end of last year, Mane Chance was the recipient of a Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Sussex and Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Surrey Community Heroes Award in the Animal Welfare category.

As well as nursing the horses back to good health, the aim of the sanctuary is to integrate them with the local community.
