The Sky At Night with Dr Maggie
Nigerian space scientist Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock -- who was announced this week as a Presenter of The Sky At Night -- says she likes to inspire young black kids away from ghettoising themselves into music and sport careers.
The Sky At Night was first broadcast in 1957 and continued to be presented by Sir Patrick Moore until his death last year.
Her appointment is an example of breaking through boundaries -- being a woman, being a Black woman....with Dyslexia!
In an interview with Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ UK Black reporter Colleen Harris, she talks about her visits to young black children in schools...and how she bagged this new role.
