78 year old Caroline: Being lonely is "just appalling"
Society has failed to confront the 'national shame' of chronic loneliness among 800,000 elderly people, according to the Health Secretary. We hear one elderly woman's story. 78 year old Caroline has a family but they lead very busy lives, and she's found life very lonely since her husband died last year.
