Hundreds of decayed teeth are being taken out of the mouths of children as young as 2 every year in Northamptonshire, according to the NHS.

Figures obtained by Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Northampton under the Freedom of Information Act show that in the 12 months up to April this year, 182 children under the age of 4 had teeth extracted. That's 4 infant children a week.

The teeth were generally removed because of decay caused by sugar.

Reporter Tom Percival asks people in Northampton about the drinks they give their children. Stuart talks to Deborah Manger, the clinical lead for NHS Dentistry in Northamptonshire, to registered dietician Sian Porter, and to Celia Morgan, who runs the website MumStreet.
