Do Asian businesses face discrimination from banks?

An Asian business group is accusing Britain's banks of discrimination. The National Asian Business Association says many of its members are being refused loans because of a lack of cultural awareness. However, a government report which looked at the lack of finance for ethnic minorities in business has revealed that there is no basis to the allegations.

The report's conclusions come nearly two years after the now Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg, warned of β€œbarriers preventing black and minority groups from accessing loans” and launched the inquiry.
