South American music
Professor Allegro introduces South American music and the work of Mauricio Venegas. Aerial shots of a mountain range are described in a descriptive poem. At the end of the poem a South American group plays Viento Cantor, and Mauricio Venegas is introduced as the composer. The bombo and the panpipes are used to create the South American sounds. Children use objects to find low sounds to replicate the bombo and then high sounds on tuned instruments.
