The English Civil War in Wales
Charles I believed in 'the divine rule of Kings', seeing himself as God's representative on earth and ruling as he saw fit. Consequently, he didn't see the need for MPs and suspended Parliament several times eventually resulting in the English Civil War, with Parliamentarians fighting Royalists.
