A new strain of bird flu has emerged in China. The virus designated H7N9 has already proven fatal in humans, we look at how it differs from previous bird flus and ask whether it presents a wider threat to humans. We look at new ideas for improving the nutrient uptake of plants and also the menace of space junk, obsolete satellites orbiting our planet are growing in number, now there are calls for space missions just to clear this space rubbish.
