More about this programme
For 25 years, Chronicle took viewers around the world to
explore historical excavations and discover long-gone cultures and
civilisations. With a mix of live broadcasts and filmed documentaries, the
series brought some of the greatest archaeologists of the 20th Century into our
homes. Vikings in North America was the first programme in the series, with the
last, Memphis Capital of Egypt shown in May 1991.
About Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Four Collection programmes
Programmes are selected, in part, for their historical
context and reflect the broadcast standards and attitudes of their time, which
may not accord to some current Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ editorial guidelines. We aim to select
programmes which can be shown in their entirety but in some cases edits are
required.
