Weekend Edition 23 March 2013: Surprising encounters

Including: challenges for Aung San Suu Kyi, violent divisions in Bangladesh, the lost art of the Amazon, meeting an old friend in New York, and the first 'black' cowboy film star.

In this edition of From Our Own Correspondent Pascale Harter introduces personal stories, insight and analysis from Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ correspondents, journalists and writers around the world. We begin in Burma, where Aung Sang Suu Kyi is facing the hard realities of day to day politics. In Bangladesh, there is fierce division over the war crimes tribunal there. We also hear from Nicki Defago who has travelled to the Brazilian Amazon to see ancient art, buried deep in the jungle. And in the United States we hear two surprising tales - one from a Kosovan immigrant, the other from the first 'black' cowboy of the silver screen - but there's a twist!
