New Contracts Imposed On Council Staff

Northants County Council workers have new terms of employment imposed upon them, some against their wishes. They will be dismissed from their jobs and then rehired under new terms.

Up to 550 Northamptonshire County Council workers face having new terms of employment imposed upon them against their wishes.

They are set to be dismissed from their jobs and then rehired under new terms they've already refused as the authority's new deal on staff terms and conditions comes into force.

Two of the affected Council employees have made contact with Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Northampton anonymously and have their words voiced by reporters, while Stuart talks to Steve Bennett from the union Unison and to Paul Blantern, Chief Executive of Northamptonshire County Council.
