One year on and a free community meal scheme in Northampton is still going strong
It’s been a year since the free community meal called the Manna Langar was first held and it is still working well.
The monthly event encourages people of all faiths and cultures to meet and socialise with the aim of improving community cohesion in the town.
The Manna Langar is the brainchild of Northampton Borough Councillor, Ifty Choudhury, who along with the Open Door Centre launched this joint initiative.
Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Northhampton’s Jona Kotnis, met Councillor Choudhary and some of the staff at the centre earlier this week.
