Half of Northamptonshire's businesses inspected by the fire service in the last year failed their safety audits. 539 of 1,078 checks were found to be unsatisfactory.

Half of Northamptonshire's businesses inspected by the fire service in the last year failed their safety audits. Of the 1,078 audits carried out in the 12 months up to March 2012, 539 were found to be unsatisfactory.
