Narrator Rene Cutforth was a foreign correspondent for the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ, reporting from some 74 countries on a diverse range of events including the Korean War and the Dalai Lama's escape to India. During the Second World War, Rene served in the Army and was seconded to the Ministry of Information. He was wounded and captured in North Africa, and taken as a prisoner of war to Italy and Germany.
