Recycling Northern Ireland's plastics
News report about what happens to plastics being sent for re-cycling in Northern Ireland. Some of them end up being used to make garments. Empty plastic milk cartons are taken from their recycling collection point on a twelve thousand mile journey to Hong Kong. From there, the plastic is sent on to China, transformed into fibre, and returned to the UK in the form of various types of clothing.
