The Severn Bore
Illustration of the Severn Bore, a unique tidal system in the lower course of the River Severn close to the river mouth creating a large wave which flows down the river. This is higher at certain times of the year ; eg in early spring. Shows its effects on wildlife in the river, including an otter and the after effects of the Bore with large amounts of logs and other debris in the water.
