Space in 2013

Roland Pease looks forward to two great comets in the skies of 2013 and discusses the further exploration of Mars by rovers and new orbiting probes.

Roland Pease is joined by Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ space correspondent Jonathan Amos and astronomer Marek Kukula, of the Royal Observatory, Greenwich, to look back at the astronomical high points of 2012 and gaze forward into space for the coming year. On the agenda are two comets in 2013 and the further adventures of the Curiosity Rover on Mars. The Martian mission's principal scientist John Grotzinger drops into the discussion to tell us what lies in store for Curiosity in the coming 12 months.
