The Hamilton Mausoleum in Scotland has hard surfaces which reflect sounds, creating reverberations. The presenter lines the room with soft fibre panels, which absorb sound waves. She measures how long it takes the sound waves to die away and finds the fibre panels have made a big difference to the amount of sound which is reflected off the walls and floor.
