Balanced and unbalanced forces are demonstrated using eggs, books and seat cushions. In the first example, a force is exerted on eggs in vices. When more force is applied to the egg it exerts more force on the vice. Eventually, the eggs crack. In the second example, we see some seat springs compressing as more force is applied to them. As they compress, they apply more and more force in the opposite direction until the forces balance or reach equilibrium.
