How to win a swimming race
Darren Mew, an Olympic swimmer in 2000 and 2004, trains for four hours in the pool every day and spends a further two hours in the gym. Darren states that the most important parts of a swimming race are the start, the turns and the stroke. He offers advice about making a good dive to get ahead at the start of a race. Once the race has started it is all about the stroke and every pull and kick counts. Some swimmers lose out on the turn, so Darren explains how to work on making your tumble turn the best.
