Learning to cycle safely
In this clip, pupils practice cycling in the school playground before progressing to quiet, local roads. They learn to ride their bikes in the safest road position - not too close to the gutter or too far out in the road. Signalling safely skills, checking for traffic, identifying road hazards such as speed bumps, and the importance of the 'lifesaver look' are also worked on.
