Web exclusive: Why are puddings an English thing?
In this web exclusive clip, Ivan Day gives us some background on why puddings are an English thing. He tells Stefan that the English were very inventive when it came to using left overs and the other aspect is that they had superb dairy traditions. The latter were part of a woman's domectic trading back then and puddings are therefore a female dish. They are a fusion of bread, dairy food and preserves.
