Guadeloupe - talking about your origins
Interviews with French speakers in Guadeloupe who talk about their origins and where they have lived. Focuses on two questions: 'Parlez-moi de vos origines' and 'Dites-moi oΓΉ vous avez vΓ©cu'. The questions are answered in a variety of ways, mainly focusing on the use of the past tense. The people interviewed tell us about their parents' or grandparents' origins and one woman explains she is descended from a slave and a slave owner.
