What does it take to lead a corporation? This week Justin Rowlatt and his guests discuss what difference a CEO can make to the culture of an organisation. Michael Woodford was catapulted into the headlines when he blew the whistle on practices in the company he had recently been appointed to head up, Japan's giant Olympus Corporation. He was dramatically fired and ended up fleeing Japan in fear of his life. He's joined by Henrietta Royal, herself the CEO of consulting company Fanshawe Haldin, and an advisor to companies on their corporate cultures; and Rosabeth Moss Kanter who holds the Ernest L. Arbuckle Professorship at Harvard Business School where she specializes in strategy, innovation, and leadership for change. Plus, comedian turned tea-towel manufacturer, Colm O'Regan, reflects on whether it's wise to move away from your core business.
