Margate and Cliftonville are often tarnished with a bad reputation for not being particularly pleasant places to live.

In Breakfast with John and Clare, we heard how nearly a sixth of prisoners released in Kent end up living in these two wards of Thanet, mainly due to the cheap housing available.

Sir Roger Gale, MP for Thanet North, revealed to Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Kent just a couple of months ago that children in care were often living on the same street as convicted sex offenders.

Do you grow up somewhere people considered 'rough'? What did you make of it? How did it affect you growing up?

Did you move to a 'safer' area when you had children? Maybe you were forced to live in a bad neighbourhood because you couldn't afford anything better?

Does it make you angry that people say where you live is not a nice place? Does your neighbourhood deserve your reputation?

We hear your stories.

Also on the programme, we are live a Peter Speaight's Butchers in Tunbridge Wells.

A new survey suggests that a quarter of us avoid going to the butchers because we don't know what to ask for. Almost 10% who do say they find the experience intimidating.

Are we right to feel afraid? Peter Speaight has all the answers for Julia (10.20).

And the new Michelin Guide is out on Friday and there's great news for some of Kent's best restaurants.

The Sportsman at Seasalter, The West House at Biddenden and Apicius at Cranbrook all retain their Michelin stars. Thackeray's Restaurant in Tunbridge Wells won back its star after losing the accolade a couple of years ago.

The Guide also recognises "good cooking at moderate prices" with the Bib Gourmand award - often seen as a precursor to a Michelin Star in the future.

One recipient is The Three Mariners in Oare, near Faversham our reporter, Alex Ward speaks to chef, John O'Reardon (11.18)
