Is it our job to look after foreign children?

Last year a quarter of the children who applied for asylum in Kent disappeared. Now the head of children's services says they should be locked up for their own good until a suitable foster family can be found, to protect them from criminal gangs.

Should we be locking children up? How much are we prepared to spend on them?

3,000 unaccompanied children apply for asylum in Britain every year. When a child is in trouble does it matter where they are from?

Also, are you in a company pension scheme?

Well, if not, you probably will be soon! From October the first there will be an automatic company pension enrolment scheme coming into effect which, it is hoped, will get nine million more people saving in a work place scheme for their old age.

In the short term the government has forecast that by Christmas, more than half a million employees who are not currently in a pension scheme will have joined one under its new "auto-enrolment" programme. The initiative forces employers to put staff over the age of 22 on a workplace pension.

We speak to our Business reporter to find out what happens from October 1st.
