Dartford Borough Council are considering banning cars from parking in residential streets near the Darent Valley Hospital.

Staff and patients are being forced to park there because the car parks at the hospital is full but now the streets themselves are becoming clogged up.

A permit system is one proposal that could be considered. Would you be willing to pay to park outside your own house?

Do you live in an permitted area already? Does it work? Do you have the right to park outside your home?

Do employers have the responsibility to provide parking for staff? Maybe you live close to a train station, a hospital or a tourist attraction. Is your road congested with parked cars?

Also on the programme, thousands of children across Kent are sitting their 11+ today. The results will decide their academic future.

Secondary education in Kent remains more complex than almost anywhere else in Britain.

Former Labour Schools Minister Lord Andrew Adonis, who created the concept of academies has just published a book entitled 'Education, Education, Education.'

He talks to Julia about the success of academies and the options available to school children in Kent (10.11).
