The effects of UV light on our skin
A brief explanation of what UV light is and how it can lead to skin cancer. The body's natural response to increased levels of UV light is to produce melanin, which tans our skin meaning we are less likely to suffer sunburn and cancer. It is explained that higher levels of UV exposure mean more vitamin D is produced by the skin.
