Operation Iceberg Series 1 Greenland by Chris Packham
I visited Greenland in the summer of 2008 and spent most of my time doing battle with the evil forces of reality trying to make some half decent images . The twenty four hours of daylight make it difficult because there is no 'magic-hour' at dawn and dusk - that time when the sun is low in the sky and offers lovely warm light and this means the stark landscapes of rock and ice can be very contrasty - making for ugly pictures . The only answer is to be active at 'night' so when most were trying to sleep I was prowling about looking for photos .
