All hosepipe bans lifted in Kent

John and Clare with the latest news, travel, and weather, plus stories from around Kent.

All hosepipe bans have been lifted in Kent. South East Water, the largest supplier to homes in the county, along with Veolia Southeast which supplies the Dover and Folkestone areas, and Sutton and East Surrey Water which supplies a part of West Kent, are lifting their restrictions from today.

Last month, two other firms supplying homes in Kent, Southern Water and Thames Water, lifted their bans. It follows two months of heavy downpours which have ended a severe drought in the county (06:08, 07:07 and 08:07)

So the history books will show that the 2012 All England Championships did yield a British champion, but his surname was Marray rather than Murray - and it was in the doubles rather than the singles.

Andy Murray's efforts ended in failure after he lost to Roger Federer in 4 sets. In the post match ceremony Andy was overwhelmed by the occasion and was reduced to tears after giving his all (06:12, 07:18 and 08:18).

If you have to stand on your morning commute to London this morning, you will not take much comfort from the fact that Southeastern is winning the battle against overcrowding. However, figures seen by Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Kent show that nearly one in five passengers are still standing (06:25, 07:22 and 08:22).
