Council Funding Under Pressure + The Corby Woman Who Can't Park Near Her Own Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ

Paul Blantern, Chief Exec of Northants C.C. discusses the LGA claim that some council services may go by 2020 because of a funding crisis + a Corby woman who was fined for parking outside her home.

The Local Government Association (the LGA) warns that many of the most popular council services, like libraries and leisure centres, could be "history by 2020". Stuart talks to Dr Paul Blantern, Chief Executive of Northamptonshire County Council, about the way in which local council funding may have to change.

Chalice Watson from Corby tells Stuart about the parking problems apparently caused by people using Corby railway station. A yellow line, painted recently outside her house, has resulted in Chalice being fined for parking outside her home to take her children into the house in the rain.

Opposition Councillors on Northamptonshire County Council have accused the Conservative administration of "mismanagement" over the sale of former Middle School sites in Northampton. Stuart talks to Councillor Chris Sambra from the Liberal Democrat opposition group and to Conservative Councillor Andrew Grant.

In the continuing features across the week about changes to the National Health Service, reporter Rebecca Dickson goes to the Wellingborough home of Marion Turner and her partner Karen. Karen has ME. Marion cares for her and she tells Rebecca why she's concerned about the changes.
