Programme 3 Handy Hints
Despite the snow, it's pruning time in the Beechgrove Garden. Jim cuts back a Hypericum, while George prunes an ornamental-stemmed willow. Lesley and Carole meanwhile point out some of the advantages of snowfall. Whilst there's still a risk of frost, snow can help to insulate plants and protect them from the last throes of winter. A good snow cover can also help to identify any unwanted visits from our furry friends.
