Surf Therapy in Cornwall
Cornwall's geology makes it a surfer's paradise - but what’s more surprising is that at Watergate Bay, the geology that boosts the surf is helping to rebuild lives.
Julia meets a group of men who aren't just surfing for fun – they’re all Armed Forces combat veterans, and they’re taking part in a unique therapy programme.
Julia talks to group founder Richard Emerson, who saw the potential for surf to heal Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and Trevor Huttrell, who struggled with PTSD for 15 years after a traumatic incident while serving in Northern Ireland.
