Merseybeat musician Ted 'Kingsize' Taylor takes us back to the 1960s with tales about The Cavern Club in Liverpool and The Star Club in Hamburg. Grant James joins us for an hour of showtunes.
Roger Day takes us back in time to the skiffle and Merseybeat era as he talks to Ted 'Kingsize' Taylor. His band The Dominoes played alongside The Beatles in Liverpool’s legendary Cavern Club and Hamburg’s Star Club and is about to go on tour again with a sound forever frozen in 1965.
Our Classic Album of the week is Steely Dan’s Aja, while Roger also takes us through a Future Classic – Born To Die by Lana Del Rey. Grant James is here from 9pm with an hour of the best big band and swing music.
