Called in on one occasion to give an overnight facelift to a tottering airline, he demanded a budget of six million dollars and spent the bulk of it in a week on press, radio and TV advertising. Within two days the airline was carrying 8% more passengers. Welcome to the real world of advertising, as portrayed so dramatically in the critically acclaimed TV series Mad Men.
