Gaius is disturbed by a pounding on the door. Much to his surprise the mysterious visitor is Borden, a man with whom he has a checkered history. Merlin, stirred by the commotion, quietly observes as the old physician reluctantly allows his uninvited guest inside.

It is clear this isn't a social visit as Borden reveals he has a prize object in his possession: part of the Triskellion of Askhanar. According to legend, the beautiful artifact guides its bearer to the hiding place of the last remaining dragon's egg.

The third and final piece of the Triskellion is locked away in the vaults of Camelot and Borden needs help if he is to retrieve it. But Gaius wants no part in the plan and instead warns Borden to leave Camelot immediately...
