Unfair Trade
In Global Business this week Peter Day meets two campaigners who believe world trade is not that fair.
When you buy a pair of trainers or that new mobile phone or laptop do you ever stop to think about the person on the other side of the world who made it?
Many of them are in factories in China who live on site and work 12 hours a day with strict rules like no talking to your colleagues.
Others are paid a pittance to make clothes that cost more than they will ever earn in a lifetime.
This week Peter Day talks to two campaigners who think big business is exploiting the world’s poor and they are trying to do something about it.
