Snare of silk
At night, a desert scorpion searches for beetles or other small insects. But a black widow spider has spun a trap and laid it in the scorpion's path under a thorn bush. In the intense struggle that follows its ensnarement, the scorpion rips off one of the spider's legs, but the spider manages to reinforce the net. Methodically, the spider trusses up its victim and hangs it in her larder.
