Tuition fees face legal challenge

A Midlands law firm is to mount a legal challenge against the government's decision allowing universities to charge students up to nine thousand pounds a year.

The decision led to waves of protest at campuses at colleges. Many universities will charge the maximum fee for a number of their courses.

The Birmingham law firm Public Interest Lawyers has told the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ West Midlands' Political Editor Patrick Burns that it believes the government's policy is unlawful.
