The Department of Transport has announced it is going to consult on the idea with a view to introducing it in 2013.

How often is your rubbish collected? Weekly, fortnightly? Are you happy with it?

The government is unveiling plans to encourage councils in England to restore weekly bin collections. Many people now get their rubbish collected one week and their recycling the next.
