Public meetings have been taken place to discuss plans for the first free school in Essex. It would be run using Church of England principles, and would be based at the former Sawyer's Hall College in Brentwood, which is due to close at the end of the year.
Campaigners against a new waste transfer station in Harlow are considering their options after Essex County Council granted planning permission.
